Fred C. Moor, local health officer, Dr. Byrd made a thorough investigation of the situation, and seemed very much astonished that any Special uneasiness should exist among our citizens. He said that there was scarcely place in the State where, in proportion to the population, that there was not as many or more infectous cases of disease; that Tallahassee was singularly free from sickness, and that the four cases of diptheria which have so far developed during a period of three weeks, should not be calculated to cause any appreciable alarm. Dr.
